Faith Christian Center (Faith) is a church with heavy emphasis on solid biblical teaching and practical everyday application. We are a ministry founded on God’s principles.

Faith is called, ordained and anointed by God to bring the Body of Christ into a prosperous relationship with the Godhead: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Faith’s purpose is to build people of purpose, power and praise in faith through fellowship and to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.

Faith seeks to stretch its message across denominational and cultural boundaries throughout the community and the state. Moreover, Faith strives to provide accessible, quality, biblical teaching, which can help people grow into a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

At Faith, we know that God has called us to be a significant light for Christ in our community. And there are thousands of people all around us who don’t know God or attend a church. We believe that placing a high quality service and combining that with a lot of prayer, good planning, personal invitations from the Faith family will result in many new people coming to Christ and attending church.

OUR STORY

Faith Christian Center began with a vision that God placed in the hearts of John and Beulah Johnson to establish a church that would focus on building strong families and the church body.  Very shortly thereafter, the vision of Faith began to unfold as God made it plain what He desired.  Habakkuk 2: 2-3 lays out the vision process: "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie: through it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."  And that's what Faith has done.

The Faith family began meeting in the Johnson’s home in Harker Heights, Texas in May, 2005 with a congregation of 10 people. In November 2005 to accommodate a growing congregation, Faith rented a nearby store front located at 1014 Bluebird in Harker Heights.

Faith observed its dedication services at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2006. This special service was held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 4700 East Rancier Avenue in Killeen. Pastor John A. Johnson and members of the Faith Family welcomed guest speaker, Bishop Carlton D. Pearson, founder and Pastor of Higher Dimensions Family Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and event host, Tim Broadous, Senior Pastor of True Light Christian Center of McAlester, Oklahoma.

Today, we worship at 553 West Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Harker Heights.
